Our volunteers' resolve powers RSS: Bhagwat
Jaipur, Nov. 17 -- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that the organisation draws its strength entirely from the emotional resolve and life force of its volunteers.
Addressing a gathering at the release of the book ".Aur Yah Jeevan Samarpit" at Pathaykan Sansthan's Narad Auditorium in Jaipur, he said that every swayamsevak becomes a pracharak through his mindset and commitment, and this spirit is the true lifeline of the RSS.
Dr. Bhagwat said that RSS has grown significantly over the years, with better conveniences and favourable conditions for its work. "But with these advantages come many challenges. We must remain the same as we were during times of opposition and neglect. It is with the same emotional strength that the organisation will continue to move forward," he asserted.
The book is a compilation of the biographies of 24 late RSS pracharaks from Rajasthan.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhagwat emphasised that the RSS cannot be understood from a distance. "To understand the Sangh, one must experience it directly by being a part of it. Many people tried to run branches similar to the Sangh out of competition, but none lasted longer than fifteen days. Our shakhas have been running for a hundred years and continue to grow, because the RSS rests on the inner strength and dedication of its volunteers," he said.
Bhagwat said that the organisation's work today is a subject of public discussion and goodwill. "What our volunteers and pracharaks have done is being acknowledged everywhere. A hundred years ago, who could have imagined that a simple branch activity would contribute to nation-building? People mocked us, asking how swinging sticks in the air could protect the nation. But today, as the RSS celebrates its centenary, its acceptance in society has grown manifold."
Referring to the book, he said it not only evokes pride but also inspires readers to follow the difficult path of selfless service. "If we imbibe even a fraction of the brilliance that these individuals carried, we too can illuminate society and the nation," he said, urging volunteers to read the book and internalise its message.
The event was part of the RSS chief's three-day visit to Rajasthan, as a part of which he also attended the Deendayal Smriti Lecture organised by the Ekatma Manavdarshan Anusandhan Evam Vikas Pratishthan in Jaipur on Saturday.
Speaking at that event, Bhagwat had said, "The world looks towards India for solutions to global problems."
Highlighting the country's rapid rise, Bhagwat said, "Instead of growing inch by inch, India is now growing mile by mile. India has a reputation worldwide."
He added that India possesses the intellectual depth to offer answers to the problems faced by world. "India has the intellect and the thought to give answers to problems that the world faces," he said....
