Jaipur, March 25 -- Senior Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Tikaram Jully on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Rajasthan government, accusing it of misleading youth over the promised 10,000 recruitments in the education department. In a series of posts on social media, the Congress leaders alleged that despite claims o the contrary, neither recruitment notifications were issued nor examinations conducted so far. Former chief minister Gehlot said that despite its tall claims, the government has neither issued a notification on the recruitments nor conducted any examinations so far. "This is not only administrative negligence, but also direct injustice to lakhs of youths. The government is breaking the trust of young people by repeatedly changing recruitment calendars and leaving promises unfulfilled," he said. The leaders also criticised the government for repeatedly changing recruitment timelines and failing to fulfil its commitments, which they said has eroded the trust of young job aspirants. Gehlot and Jully, who is the leader of opposition in state assembly, contrasted the situation with the previous Congress government, claiming that transparent and time-bound recruitment processes were ensured during their tenure, providing employment opportunities to youth. They further questioned the government, asking how long candidates will have to wait and when the promise of 10,000 jobs will finally be delivered. The leaders asserted that the continued delay is causing frustration among unemployed youth and warned that "injustice with the dreams of young people will not be tolerated," using the hashtag #IntezaarShastra to underline their protest. Responding to Jully and Gelhot, BJP spokesperson Ram Lal Sharma said, "When Gehlot was the CM in the previous government and we used to question the execution and implementation of his announcements, he would say that a scheme is meant for five years.
