India, Dec. 9 -- Film spoilers aren't a new issue, but there's been an increasing trend of filmgoers sharing key moments from movies on social media. This ruins the surprise element for viewers and is frustrating for filmmakers. Comparing this practice to piracy, producer Anand Pandit says, "This is a serious problem as months of hard work goes to waste." While they don't encourage the sharing of spoilers, Devang Sampat, CEO, Cinepolis India, says, "This contributes to generating curiosity and buzz among the audience." Trade expert Komal Nahta also doesn't see a problem with these "30-second Reels", as "they aren't showing the entire film"...
