official resigns after hc names her in paper leak
Jaipur, Nov. 29 -- The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) member Sangeeta Arya on Friday resigned after the high court named her along with five other members for compromising the integrity of the Sub-Inspector 2021 examination.
Confirming the development, Arya's husband, former chief secretary Niranjan Arya, said, "She has submitted her resignation on Friday to the Governor. Bagade will review it and take further decisions." However, he did not comment on the reasons behind her decision.
Arya, appointed as a member of the RPSC in 2020, was to finish her tenure in October 2026.
The development comes months after the high court cancelled the SI-2021 examination on August 28 over a massive paper leak allegation following which the SOG held at least 122 people including two former RPSC members. htc...
