ctor Mallika Sherawat, who turned 49 on October 24, has been a long-time advocate of animal rights and cruelty-free living. A committed vegan for years, she often speaks about how the lifestyle changed her relationship with food.
Recently, she shared a glimpse of her festive indulgence on Instagram, posting a pic of enjoying a bowl of fresh organic fruits and crunchy nuts, proving that celebration doesn't always have to come with sugar and calories.
In an earlier interview with Bollywood Hungama, Mallika had shared details of her daily diet, saying, "I'm a vegan, so I don't take any animal or dairy products - no milk, lassi, paneer, or cheese. My breakfast is usually lots of fresh fruits. I don't drink tea or coffee, and I rarely eat dessert. Gosh, I eat only dates for dessert - you'll think I'm such a cow, but I don't eat dessert!"
Talking about her favourite foods, she said, "I like bhindi, in a cooked form, a lot and a lot of green salads and avocado. I love Thai green curry because it's made with coconut milk and has just the right kind of spices."
