No anti-ageing drugs: Parag clarifies speculation on Shefali Jariwala's death
India, Sept. 24 -- A
ctor Shefali Jariwala's sudden death on June 27 shocked fans, with speculative reports claiming she had died after consuming anti-ageing medicine on an empty stomach. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, has now dismissed the chatter as "half-baked information."
In a podcast posted on his YouTube channel, the 49-year-old clarified that Shefali did not take anti-ageing drugs but opted for monthly IV drips of multivitamins, Vitamin C, collagen, and glutathione.
"Shefali didn't want to take multivitamins daily as she would forget them, so she took them through IV drip once a month," he said, adding that these were wellness supplements, not anti-ageing treatments.
Addressing rumours that Shefali was fasting on the day she died, Parag explained, "She did fast that day, but she had food after performing pooja, then slept, and ate again later. It wasn't like she didn't eat at all."
He stressed that Shefali believed in discipline and self-care, balancing a healthy lifestyle with occasional indulgences. "I don't know where this fasting story came from. People just picked it up and spread it. I request everyone to find the truth before talking," he urged.
While initial reports suggested cardiac arrest, the official cause of Shefali's death remains unconfirmed. Following the autopsy, police have marked the cause as "reserved". htc...
