Jaipur, Aug. 13 -- Chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the Army Day Parade, which is held every year to honour the indomitable courage, valour, and sacrifice of the Indian Army, will take place in Jaipur on January 15. He added that for the first time, the parade will be organized by the Indian Army outside a military area, allowing the general public to witness it, inspiring greater patriotism among the youth and showcasing the image of a changing, emerging India to the world. The CM held a meeting with senior officials of the Indian Army and the state government to review preparations for the Army Day Parade on Tuesday. He said that the Indian Army enjoys a distinguished reputation worldwide for its valor and bravery, and that soldiers have repeatedly demonstrated their courage, ready to lay down their lives for the nation's honor and pride. He directed officials to make the parade even more grand to pay tribute to this courage. Sharma directed that maximum participation of school and college students, tourists, and the general public be ensured in the Army Day Parade. He stressed that audience capacity should be a key consideration while selecting the parade venue. Jaipur's District Collector has been asked to prepare a detailed map and road plan for the venue.
