Jaipur, June 29 -- Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Sawai Madhopur District Cricket Association president Deen Dayal Kumawat was appointed as the new convener of the ad-hoc committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) replacing the party's Ganganagar MLA Jaideep Bihani after his long-time tussle with the other members over his conduct of the association and failure to organise an election to form a new committee of the association despite several ultimatum given by the government, officials aware of the matter said. The government said a new ad-hoc committee has been appointed as Bihani "failed to conduct an election" to form a new committee for over a year and missed five deadlines. Bihani was also involved in a tussle with Dhananjay and other members over his selection of players and organising the Indian Premier League (IPL), people aware of the matter said. The government, in an order issued by the registrar of the co-operative society Manju Rajpal on Saturday, stated, "On March 28, 2024, an ad-hoc committee was appointed to conduct the election for the RCA committee in three months.
