Jaipur, June 9 -- A 17-year-old boy preparing for National Entrance Eligibility Test at a coaching centre in Kota died on Sunday after allegedly falling from stairs at his hostel, police said. "The incident happened on Sunday morning. He slipped off the stairs from the second floor leading to his death. We have informed his family. Further probe is underway," said Mukesh Meena, station house officer of Vigyan Nagar police station. He further said that the student has been identified as Abhijeet Rupvanshi, originally from Madhya Pradesh who arrived in Kota 15 days ago. "The aspirant was preparing for NEET at a reputed coaching centre in Kota's Vigyan Nagar area and staying in a hostel in the same area," Meena said. "The accident happened on Sunday when he came out of the bathroom at the second floor after taking a bath. He suddenly slipped off the stairs that caused severe injury at his head," said Meena. Following the incident, hostel staff rushed him to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead. "No case has been lodged so far. We are waiting for his family to arrive. His body will be handed over to them after an autopsy," the SHO added....
