Nearly 3,000 offenders held in 2-day operation
Jaipur, July 30 -- State police launched a meticulously planned "Area Domination" operation on July 26 and 27, resulting in the arrest of 2,903 criminals, including 417 hardened offenders, officials said. The campaign, aligning with the police motto "Trust among the public, fear among criminals," was executed with intensive coordination across all districts and ranges.
Additional director general of police (crime) Dinesh MN said that preparations were made well in advance, with senior officers-including range IGs and police commissioners of Jaipur and Jodhpur-monitoring from control rooms, while SPs and DCPs led field operations. The operation primarily targeted gangs involved in illegal arms display and firing incidents. It also aimed at nabbing those wanted in heinous crimes, fugitives, proclaimed offenders, and bounty criminals.
As many as 3,104 police teams conducted raids at 15,521 locations across the state. The operation involved 13,164 personnel....
