Jaipur, June 19 -- India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted monsoon will enter the state on June 20 from the south-western part which will cause heavy rainfall in the area for the next one week, officials said. "A low pressure system has been formed over Gujarat and its neighbouring area which is approaching Rajasthan. It will likely bring heavy rainfall for the next few days," IMD said. Meanwhile, the weather ofice issued heavy rain alert in 28 districts for the next week. An orange alert of moderate to heavy rainfall has been issued in Pali, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jalore, Jodhpur, and Barmer, while a yellow alert was issued in Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Tonk, Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Sirohi, Jaipur, Karauli, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur. At least two people were killed due to lightning strikes in Bharatpur while seven others sustained burn injuries in Karauli on Tuesday night, officials said. Bayan SHO Babu Lal said, "A 48-year-old farmer and another 8-year-old boy have been killed when they were passing through a field amid heavy rainfall. They were rushed to the hospital where they were declared dead."...
