Jaipur, Nov. 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 21st instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on Wednesday, involving the transfer of a cumulative sum of Rs.1,332 crore to 6.662 million farmers across Rajasthan, as part of the nationwide disbursal to mark PM-Kisan Utsav Diwas, a release from the chief minister's office said on Tuesday. Chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma will join the state-level celebration at the State Institute of Agricultural Management (SIAM), Durgapura, while parallel programmes will be organised across all districts, added the release. Since the launch of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, 20 instalments have already been released, benefitting thousands of farmers in Rajasthan, it said. According to the release, a sum of Rs.25,142 crore has already been transferred to the accounts of eligible farmers in the state under the scheme. Additionally, under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana-Rajasthan's supplementary support initiative-a sum of Rs.2,073 crore was disbursed through four instalments to the state's farmers so far, it said. The release added that across the country, around 90 million farmers will receive a cumulative sum of Rs.18,000 crore. The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi provides eligible farmers Rs.6,000 per year in three equal instalments.
