Minor kills mother for refusing to give Rs.7,000in Deeg district: Police
Bharatpur, Dec. 3 -- A minor was apprehended on Tuesday for killing his mother after she refused to give him money in Deeg district, a police officer familiar with the matter said, adding that efforts are underway to determine his correct age.
According to police, the boy has been booked under section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), but his court proceedings will take place before the juvenile court.
Police said the incident took place on Sunday night in Radha Nagri colony of Kaman town when the minor attacked his 40-year-old mother, identified as Ruksina, with an iron rod after she refused to give him Rs.7,000 he gave her a month ago.
After receiving information, a police team reached the spot and rushed the woman to hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
Police said the boy's father, who is a daily wage worker, was in Haryana at the time of the incident. He arrived after being informed.
The woman's body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination on Monday, police said.
A police officer privy to the details said the boy worked as a labourer at a hotel in Deeg district and gave Rs.7,000 to her mother a month back. On Sunday, he demanded the money back and the mother's refusal angered him.
Kaman police station in-charge Bharat Singh said, "the woman was found critically injured in the house. Police admitted her to hospital where doctors declared her dead."
"Her husband filed a complaint against his son for killing his wife over the money," he added.
"The accused was detained and efforts are underway to determine his correct age through documents," Singh said....
