Jaipur, May 12 -- Cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena on Sunday assured justice to the family of 42-year-old architect, who died by suicide, said that action will be taken against Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer Mukta Rao and her husband Vijay Dhaka who were accused in the case. On Sunday, Meena met the family members of the deceased at his official residence in Jaipur and assured them of a meeting with chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma regarding the matter. "I have earlier raised my voice several times against Mukta that she is a forged topper of her RAS batch. She has pressurised the family and gave some money after the architect's death to sit on the matter. His family wants justice. The CM is busy now, but I will take them to the CM soon once this India-Pakistan tension is over," Meena told the reporters after the meeting. The 42-year-old allegedly died by suicide in an apartment in Jaipur on April 18. The police recovered a suicide note on his company's letterhead, accusing an official of Rajasthan Administration Service (RAS) Mukta Rao and her husband Vijay Dhaka of being responsible for this extreme step, said officials. DCP (West) Amit Budhania said that an FIR for abetment to suicide was registered against the two accused at Bindayka Police Station on the complaint by the deceased's father. "The architect died by suicide in an apartment in which the couple has a flat. He alleged in the suicide note that he got work of Mukta Rao's flat done, but she did not make full payment due to which he was facing pressure from vendors. He also said that he got Rs.21 lakh out of a total bill of Rs.39.60 lakh, adding Rao and her husband were refusing to make the remaining payment," the DCP said. "He met the couple a day before the suicide and explained his situation and demanded the remaining amount, but they said that they can give only Rs.1 lakh due to which he got extremely disappointed and returned home. A case against Mukta Rao and her husband Vijay Dhaka has been registered for abetment to suicide," he further said. After meeting Kirodi Meena on Sunday, the deceased's wife said that Mukta visited the family a day after her husband's death, made her father-in-law signing in some forged documents, gave about Rs.41 lakh and asked not to take any action. "This money was earned by my husband for his work. We did not sell his body. My father-in-law has no idea where he signed that day as he was not a stable mental state. He regrets taking that money. We want justice and necessary action against Mukta," she said. HT tried to contact Mukta Rao but there was no response so far....
