MGEM schools to have science faculty soon
Jaipur, July 4 -- The state education department has approved the proposal to form science faculty in at least 970 Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools (MGEMS) in Rajasthan, according to an official statement.
"The education department is hereby approving science faculty (Physical Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) in at least 970 MGEMS schools at from Class XI in 2025-26 session," read an order issued by the Secondary Education Secretary Sitaram Jat on Wednesday night.
The move came days after the government's cabinet committee led by education minister Madan Dilawar announced the decision to continue these schools after a through review in May. The MGEMS schools were started by the previous Congress government but have been running with a severe teacher shortage.
Slamming the Congress, Dilawar said that the Congress have not done anything for the betterment of these schools, rather it's the BJP which is developing them to fetch more students.
"The previous Congress government, in order to garner false accolades in the state, hung boards of Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School on Hindi medium government schools.But infrastructural facilities were not provided due to which the future of students was in question and enrolment in schools declined," he stated....
