MAn suspected of supplying weapons held
Jaipur, June 12 -- Rajasthan police on Tuesday arrested a man who was found being supplying sensitive weapons to the members of the gangster Rohit Godara, said officials on Wednesday.
The additional director general of the crime branch, Dinesh MN, said, "Our Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) had a tip-off that the Godara gang hold some sensitive weapons such as AK-47 and AK-56 for a long time. A team was formed under the supervision of the DIG of the CID Yogesh Yadav who has nabbed one of the handlers on Tuesday identified as Jeetendra Singh."
According to the officials, Jeetendra aka Jeetu Jodi was an active gun smuggler for the gang in Churu.
"On May 21, an infamous gangster Papla Gurjar fled from the Behror police custody when they went to arrest him. Gurjar was helped by another gangster Rajveer aka Lara who was on run for a six years and the Rajasthan police also declared a bounty of about Rs.1 Lakh on his head. During the investigation of the case, it was found that Lara used an AK-56 gun which was supplied by Jeetu Jodi who also supplies such weapons to Rohit Godara's gang members," said the ADG....
