Kota, Nov. 6 -- A repeat offender was killed in an attack in Baran city on Tuesday night, police said. According to police, the incident occurred near Pyare Ramji Temple, where 30-year-old Shahrukh, a resident of Odhpura, was ambushed by Saddam and his accomplices over an old enmity. The attackers reportedly fired over 13 rounds, seven of which struck Shahrukh. They then stabbed him repeatedly with a knife and screwdriver before slitting his throat. ASI Rajesh Chaudhary said, "Saddam's brother, Shariq, had been murdered six years ago, and Shahrukh was allegedly one of the accused. Seeking revenge, Saddam, along with his associates, tracked and killed him." The police managed to overpower the main accused, Saddam, on the spot.
