Man gets 104th traffic challan,Rs.1.34l penalty
Jaipur, Sept. 18 -- A bolero driver in Jaipur was issued 104 challans with Rs.1.34 lakh penalty for repeatedly breaking traffic rules in the last three months, said police.
DCP (Traffic) in Jaipur, Sumit Meharda, said, "The development came after the Jaipur police started making a list of habitual traffic rule violators six months ago and taking action against them. This particular Bolero driver, has so far, been issued the maximum challans."
According to officials, he supplies vegetables in Muhana Mandi at night during which he overspeeds every time and it has been traced repeatedly on the CCTV camera. "He was issued challans 104 times in the last three months with a massive Rs.1.34 lakh penalty- of which he has paid Rs.52,000 so far while another Rs.84,000 is still pending," said Meharda. htc...
