man atop tower seeks to marry woman, rescued
Bharatpur/Dholpur, May 12 -- A Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posted at a government senior secondary school climbed a mobile tower on Monday in Dholpur district, demanding permission to marry a woman he claimed to be in love with.
The incident took place in Baseri town, where Raj Kumar, 33, a resident of Bharatpur and posted at a government school in Baseri, climbed a mobile tower near the Panchayat Samiti office.
Police and civil defence teams reached the spot and began efforts to bring him down safely.
Baseri police station in-charge Balkishan Chaudhary said the clerk climbed the tower demanding to marry a woman.
Police said Kumar threw a letter from the tower stating that he and the woman wanted to marry, but her family members were opposing the relationship.
He was brought down by police and rescue personnel.htc...
