Leopard caught from a shop after 3-day op
Jaipur, Nov. 29 -- A leopard that was roaming through several populated areas of Jaipur over the last three days was finally tranquillised and rescued from a shop near the Chandpole area of Jaipur's Old City late Thursday night, officials said.
"The animal was spotted hiding inside a shop located in a residential building. The shopkeeper quickly pulled down the shutter, trapping the animal inside. He then informed the police and forest officials. A rescue operation began at 11 pm, and after three hours, the animal was rescued," said officials.
Panic spread across several neighbourhoods of Jaipur on Thursday after a leopard was spotted in residential areas for the second consecutive day.
