lawyers boycott work in hc over 2 saturdays rule
JODHPUR, Jan. 6 -- Lawyers boycotted judicial proceedings at the Rajasthan high court on Monday in protest against the court's decision to declare two Saturdays of every month as working days and to operate night courts.
At the principal bench in Jodhpur, lawyers did not participate in judicial proceedings following a call from the Rajasthan High Court Advocates Association and the Rajasthan High Court Lawyers Association.
Following a joint meeting of the associations, the lawyers abstained from attending court on Monday as a mark of protest.
Both associations also clarified that a delegation will meet and hold discussions with the acting chief justice of the Rajasthan high court in Jaipur on Tuesday to decide on the future course of action.htc...
