Jaipur, Jan. 12 -- At least two people have been detained on Saturday night after cattle remains were found in Kota's Nayapura area, sparking a protest by several Hindutva outfits, said officials. DSP of the Kota (Second) circle, Dr Poonam, said, "The incident took place at 11 pm when a few cattle remains were recovered by some locals on a road in Nayapura. A group of people belonging to VHP and Bajrang Dal immediately reached the spot demanding immediate action following which we detained two people." "Prima facie, the remains fell on the road when a municipality van turned over in the evening. However, the cleaning staff had probably not cleaned the place properly due to which the remains were later recovered by the locals," DSP said. "We have lodged an FIR under BNS Section 299 and detained two people based on suspicion. We are questioning them. Their identity can't be revealed now," she said. htc...
