JODHPUR, July 19 -- Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, who was transferred from the Punjab and Haryana high court, was administered the oath of office and secrecy as a judge of the Rajasthan high court's Principal Seat on Friday morning by chief justice Manindra Mohan Srivastava. Justice Sharma was initially appointed as a judge of the Rajasthan high court on November 16, 2016. For better administration of justice, he was transferred to the Patna high court on January 1, 2022. In April 2023, he was transferred to the Punjab and Haryana high court. Most recently, on May 26, the Supreme Court collegium recommended his transfer back to his parent high court. Later on Friday, at 2.45pm, a farewell reference was held for chief justice Srivastava, justice Shree Chandrashekhar, and justice Arun Monga. Chief justice Srivastava has been transferred to the Madras high court, justice Shree Chandrashekhar to the Bombay high court, and justice Monga to the Delhi high court, with their transfers effective from July 14.
