India, Oct. 25 -- Returning to the rom-com genre, Korean actor Jung So Min currently features in the K-drama Would You Marry Me. She plays Yoo Me Ri, who enters in a 90-day fake marriage with actor Choi Woo Shik's character to win a luxurious newlywed home. While the 36-year-old actor enjoys a big fan base in India, she herself loves actor Aamir Khan, especially his 2016 film Dangal. When asked if she would be open to an Indian collaboration? Jung says, "If given a good opportunity, the genre doesn't matter. I'm drawn to the message of the work or the characters it presents." Talking about her recent show's premise the actor says, "We all long for destiny - when someone unexpected turns out to be the one, making it feel like fate. It's that kind of charming twist that draws people in." Jung describes her character as upright and strong. "What's common between me and Me Ri is that neither of us easily give up. I'm the type who can let go after I've tried everything. I don't think I would make the same choices as her though," she says with a laugh. The show wins hearts for its fast-paced narrative. She adds, "If watching it can simply offer a moment of rest - a small haven amid the exhaustion of daily life, then I couldn't ask for anything more." She is all praise for her co-star Choi, as she calls him a "generous actor". She says, "I was truly impressed watching him not only excel in his own role but also fully embrace and respond to his partner's performance." Having led hit series like Playful Kiss, Because This Is My First Life, Alchemy of Souls and Love Next Door, Jung says she values responsibility over success and is drawn to self-driven characters in her 15-year career. "I'm drawn to characters who stand firm in their beliefs despite external pressures. People who fight for freedom and others' well-being, and those who persistently pursue their goals with strong determination. I'm attracted to characters who handle things efficiently based on facts rather than emotions."...
