Jaipur, May 7 -- Governor Haribhau Bagade on Tuesday said meaningful steps towards inclusive economic development are possible when every section of society has access to dignified employment opportunities. Highlighting the vision of "work for every hand and income for every individual" as the foundation of an Atmanirbhar Bharat, Bagade stressed the need for effective implementation of policies and schemes at the grassroots. Praising the empowerment achieved through self-help groups under Rajeevika and Cooperative Department schemes in rural areas, he called for efforts "to ensure economic empowerment reaches the last person in society." During a district-level review meeting with officials in Bhiwadi, he said: "There is a need for wide publicity of the schemes to ensure they reach the last person in society and empower the truly needy.
