JODHPUR, Sept. 21 -- The Indian Army's Sapta Shakti Command successfully carried out an integrated fire power exercise called 'Amogh Fury', at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges (MFFR) in the Thar desert. Lt Col Nikhil Dhawan said on Saturday that the high-intensity exercise showcased seamless coordination and synchronization among multiple firing platforms. Demonstrating operational readiness in a multi-domain battle scenario, the Indian Army displayed rapid troop deployment, offensive ground manoeuvres, and joint combat operations, he said. He added that the aim of 'Amogh Fury' was to test the Army's combat effectiveness, synergy, and operational preparedness under realistic battle conditions. The exercise featured battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, attack helicopters, long-range artillery systems, drones, and other state-of-the-art weapon platforms. During the exercise, network-based communication systems, command-and-control structures, real-time surveillance, and target acquisition systems were employed to create a common operating picture, which was seamlessly shared across all levels.
