HC seeks state reply on junior specialist policy
JODHPUR, Dec. 14 -- The Rajasthan high court, while hearing a PIL challenging the non-recruitment of Junior Specialist doctors through direct recruitment, issued notices to the state government, seeking its response. The PIL challenges amendments made to the Rajasthan Medical and Health Services Rules, 1963, relating to the recruitment of Junior Specialists.
Before the division bench of justices Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhati and Sanjeet Purohit, advocate Varsha Bissa, appearing for the petitioner Niramaya Trust, argued on Thursday that the state's recruitment policy for Junior Specialists has been arbitrarily changed over the years, causing serious harm to public healthcare services....
