hc raps juvenile boards over case disposal delays
Jodhpur, June 28 -- The Rajasthan high court has issued strict directions to all Principal Magistrates of Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) across the state over delays in disposing petty offence cases under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. The Registrar General of the high court observed that enquiries in petty cases are not being concluded within the time frame mandated under Section 14(2) of the Act and that this non-adherence violates legal provisions as well as adversely affects the physical and mental well-being of the children involved. htc...
