Jaipur, Aug. 15 -- Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) legislator Jaikrishn Patel and his three aides, who were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on May 4 for allegedly accepting a Rs.20 lakh bribe from a mine owner at his official residence, have been granted bail by the Rajasthan high court. Patel's counsel, Vivek Raj Bajwa, said: "A single bench of the high court presided over by justice Anil Kumar granted the bail for Patel, his cousin Vijay Patel, uncle Laxman Meena, and another aide Jagram Meena. The bail was granted on the ground that they have been detained for over three months while the trial process is getting delayed. The necessary sanction for their prosecution was also not approved yet by the government to the ACB despite the charge sheet being filed." However, a copy of the order is yet to be uploaded on the high court's portal. According to the officials, Patel took the bribe to remove three questions related to illegal mining that he raised in the assembly last year. Patel was arrested from his MLA quarter in Jaipur's Jyoti Nagar on May 4 when the complainant went to him to pay the second instalment of the bribe.htc...
