hc gives state three days to fix green concerns at tal Sanctuary
JODHPUR, May 7 -- The Rajasthan high court on Wednesday granted state authorities three days to comply with its September 2025 directions on protecting the Tal Chhapar Sanctuary.
A division bench comprising justices Mahendar Kumar Goyal and Munnuri Laxman allowed the forest and revenue departments three days to implement the court's order. The matter is listed for May 11.
Respondint to the court's 2025 order, the state informed the court on Wednesday that the process for declaring the wetland was underway, with approval from the district environmental committee, Nagaur, already obtained and final notification pending. It also submitted that steps under the eco-sensitive zone framework were in progress, and sewerage systems had been made functional to regulate waste flow in the area....
