Gunn confirms Superman runtime; dismisses studio interference
India, June 7 -- With the premiere of Superman on July 11, director and DC Studios co-head James Gunn has addressed questions on the film's runtime and rumours about studio interference. The movie is one of the cornerstones of James' new DC Universe (DCU) and marks the beginning of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
Responding to fan enquiries on the social media platform Threads, James confirmed that the runtime, including credits and post-credit scenes, will be 2 hours and 9 minutes. The announcement came after a user asked if the runtime was accurate, according to Deadline.
James also categorically denied the claim that Warner Bros wanted to trim the film. He said there's "zero truth to that," adding, "And they couldn't even if that's something that they wanted to. It's a DC Studios film."htc...
