Bharatpur, June 26 -- More than a dozen women were injured after two groups of women pelted stones on each other in a fight over water in Bharatpur on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Bada Mohalla in Deeg town, where the women were collecting water from a tanker in a queue.
After receiving information about the scuffle, police reached the spot and calm down the women.
People in the area have been facing water crisis for a long time. Ghatri village under Bhusawar sub-division, which has more than 2000 population, has no source of water for the villagers.
The water supply by the public health and engineering department (PHED) has been stopped for a long time, said the area residents.
