Jaipur, Nov. 20 -- The Rajasthan cabinet on Wednesday decided to create a separate department for the Rajasthanis who have migrated to different states or abroad while the cabinet also approved the Rajasthan Global Capacity Centre Policy (RGCC) 2025.
In a press conference after a meeting of the cabinet with chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the industry and sports minister, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, said, "In view of the welfare of the Prawasi Rajasthanis, the cabinet has approved to form a separate department- Department of Domestic and Overseas Rajasthani Affairs (DORA). He further added that the DORA will strengthen the connection of the migrated ones to their roots. "Through this platform, the government will make all the schemes and other benefits of the state government available for the migrated Rajasthanis. Our folk artists will also get a global platform through this initiative," Rathore said.
Under the DORA, every district will also have a nodal officer to address any issue faced by the migrated Rajasthanis and their families, he said.
