Barmer, June 21 -- A 41-year-old government school teacher has been booked in Jalore district for allegedly raping an 18-year-old woman multiple times when she was a minor, police said on Friday, adding that a search has been initiated to arrested the accused. Anu Choudhary, station house officer (SHO) at the Women police station, said that a complaint was filed on Wednesday by an 18-year-old woman stating that she was raped and blackmailed for past four months when she was a minor, by her former teacher. "She was married on May 28. Recently, she same back home. On Wednesday night, with her two brothers out, the woman and her sick mother were alone at home. At about 9.15 pm, the accused allegedly entered their house and went directly to the girl's room, where he attempted to rape her. Her screams alerted neighbours, who rushed to the house, causing the accused to flee the scene," the SHO said. She quoted the victim as saying that the accused had first raped her four months ago and had been continuously raping her since then. "Four months ago, he raped her for the first time and filmed obscene videos of her. This incident occurred when the accused's wife was not home and he had called the victim to cook at his home. The accused then began to blackmail her, threatening to release the videos if she told anyone. He also offered her Rs.10 lakh to keep silent," Choudhary said.
