Jaipur, Jan. 6 -- Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot has criticised the BJP government over a girl who suffered severe burn injuries due to electrocution in Jaipur. According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday morning when the 12-year-old, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, received an electric shock from a high-tension power line while throwing water-filled utensils from a balcony. Her clothes caught fire due to the shock, which was doused with water. The girl, who sustained nearly 70% burn injuries, is currently undergoing treatment in the Jaipur's SMS Hospital. Referring to the incident, Gehlot alleged on X that the girl did not receive treatment for hours solely because she did not possess an Ayushman card, calling it the height of inhumanity. "Will even medical treatment now depend on which state a patient belongs to?" he questioned. Commenting on the issue, BJP state secretary Ekta Agarwal said the government is sensitive and the CM is working tirelessly for the welfare of the people. She said the Ayushman scheme is functioning effectively. htc...
