gehlot flags delay in 2,000 barmer teachers' regularisation
Barmer, Jan. 31 -- Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot has raised the issue of the pending regularisation of Class III teachers in Barmer district, demanding swift action from the current government.
Gehlot wrote on X on Thursday, "Several newly recruited teachers in Barmer have informed me that discrimination is being faced by nearly 2,000 Class III teachers. Despite completing their probation in September 2025, their regularisation has been pending for the past four months."
During the Congress government's tenure in 2022-23, 62,000 Class III teachers were recruited, including more than 2,000 in Barmer. Following the change in government, verification of recruitment documents was conducted.
Gehlot urged the CM to intervene immediately and to ensure that the Barmer teachers receive their rightful salaries and regularisation without further delay.
BJP leader Arvind Sharda said, "The verification process is necessary to ensure integrity and transparency before permanent appointments are made. The state government is committed to completing the regularisation process in accordance with rules and that due diligence cannot be rushed."...
