FSSAI CEO pushes for faster case disposal, raises awareness in Raj
Jaipur, July 17 -- The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has intensified monitoring and public awareness efforts in Rajasthan. During a review meeting in Jaipur, FSSAI CEO G. Kamala Vardhan on Wednesday highlighted that ongoing sampling drives and awareness campaigns have led to increased public vigilance and effective control over food adulteration in the state. Vardhan said significant efforts are being made in Rajasthan not only in conducting sampling operations to prevent food adulteration and ensure food safety, but also in spreading public awareness about food safety. The ongoing campaign against adulteration in the state has increased public awareness and led to effective prevention of food adulteration. He reviewed the cases being registered to curb adulteration and instructed for their speedy resolution along with continuous monitoring.
The Central CEO was reviewing the work being done for food safety in the state during a meeting held on Wednesday at the OTS auditorium.
In a regional review meeting with Additional District Collectors, Chief Medical and Health Officers, and Food Safety Officers, he extensively reviewed various matters including efforts being undertaken under the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, pending cases, and manpower availability....
