french tourist dies in karauli, investigation launched: police
Bharatpur, Nov. 19 -- A 67-year-old French tourist died at the Karauli district hospital late on Monday night, police said on Tuesday, adding that an investigation was launched into his death and the body was handed over to officials from the French Embassy after post-mortem examination.
The deceased, identified as Chartov Fernandes Jose, was on a trip to visit the Madan Mohan Ji temple with his wife Nathali Fernandes and staying at a heritage hotel in Karauli, said Lokesh Sonwal, superintendent of police.
His health suddenly deteriorated after he returned to his hotel on Monday night, said Sonwal, adding that he was rushed to the hospital and subsequently declared dead during treatment.
The wife of the deceased lodged a complaint, based upon which an unnatural death report was filed, Sonwal said. The post-mortem examination report was awaited to determine cause of death, he added....
