Jodhpur, Oct. 10 -- The National Green Tribunal (NGT) directed the Jodhpur district collector and the municipal corporation commissioner to ensure strict compliance with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, and said that solid waste should be disposed of as per the rules. The NGT also asked the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board to take appropriate action in case of any violation of the rules. The division bench of Sheo Kumar Singh and expert Sudhir Kumar Chaturvedi, said, "...In light of the increasing Air Quality Index levels of Jodhpur city... it is requested that the Municipal Corporation immediately undertake preventive measures."...
