five municipal employees held for taking bribes
Bharatpur, Sept. 12 -- Five employees of Dholpur Municipal Council were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday for accepting a bribe of Rs.3.10 lakh to release a contractor's pending payments, police said.
According to police, the complainant alleged pending payments worth Rs.13 lakh, in return for which he was forced to pay bribes to the five accused - the assistant engineer, a clerk, a driver and others whose designation was not revealed. They were arrested while accepting a bribe, said Amit Singh, Bharatpur ASP....
