FIR against 7 for paper leak in '22 school lecturer exam: Cops
Jaipur, April 29 -- Rajasthan's Special Operation Group (SOG) has lodged a first information report (FIR) against at least seven people for allegedly leaking the question paper of the School Lecturer Examination 2022, which was conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), officials said on Monday.
According to officials, the seven are also linked to the gang that leaked the Revenue Officer (RO) and Executive Officer (EO) exam in the same year.
"The question paper of the School Lecturer Exam was leaked almost 15 days ago following which the gang members sold the solved paper to several students at Rs.25,00,000 each. Prima facie, the three subject papers of the exam, hindi, geography, and economics, were leaked," read the FIR lodged by SOG.
The FIR also stated that one of the gang members, Deepak Lakshyakar, contacted another person, Om Prakash Gurjar, for the economics paper for his sister, Kavita, who was all set to appear for the exam. "Gurjar took Kavita to a place in the morning on the exam day where 8 to 10 more candidates were also waiting. Gurjar made them read the solved paper of economics. The payment was cleared by Lakshyakar to Gurjar 10 days after the exam."
An official privy to the case said, "Some informers of the agency told them about Deepak who stays in Sanganer area. While interrogating Deepak, the names of other six people Gurjar, Ganpat Vishnoi, Ramtaran, Ramchandra Meena, Parshottam Lahera and Kavita Lakhera came to the fore. While Deepak was detained by SOG, the rest are yet absconding."
The case was lodged under sections 420, 120 (B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and necessary sections of the Rajasthan Public Exam Act 2022....
