Feeling of cultural nationalism should be fostered: Rathore
Jaipur, May 27 -- BJP national president JP Nadda will participate in the 300th birth anniversary celebrations of Maratha ruler Ahilyabai Holkar which will be celebrated in the entire state on May 31.
State BJP president Madan Rathore said Nadda along with state in charge Radha Mohan Das Agarwal would be in Jaipur to take part in the large scale celebrations planned by the party across the state.
Addressing media persons, Rathore said, "We have to foster a feeling of cultural nationalism so we are celebrating the 300th birth anniversary of a courageous, and visionary leader Ahilyabai Holkar. she was widowed at a young age but successfully ran the kingdom, she gave a good administration, made dams, laid roads, encouraged trade and renovated temples."
He said the people should take pride in their history and culture and celebrate their heroes and the BJP was organising several programmes to tell people about Holkar's achievements.
On Congress leader Ashok Gehlot questioning the sudden ceasefire during Operation Sindoor, Rathore said, "he wants the government to reveal state secrets but our government won't do that."
On RLP supremo Hanuman Beniwal's support to protesting youth who are demanding cancellation of the SI recruitment exam due to alleged irregularities, Rathore said, "Beniwal has no agenda. He is trying to incite unemployed youth. but our government will take a decision based on law and not politics."
Speaking about the party's readiness for the Anta by-poll necessitated after BJP MLA Kanwarlal Meena's disqualification following his conviction in a criminal case. "We are ready for the bypoll. We got the people's mandate in the assembly election. We are prepared for this. The government of chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma had done good work," he said....
