Ex-wife remarries, man attacks her father in Raj
Barmer, Aug. 2 -- Police in Barmer district have filed a case against a man for allegedly attacking his former father-in-law with a sharp-edged weapon on Friday, cutting off his nose as a result, police officers familiar with the matter said.
According to Dhorimanna police, the incident took place in Bhaghbhare Ki Beri village on Friday morning.
Police said that the accused, identified as Ramesh Kumar, a Bhavar resident, arrived at the home of his former father-in-law Mohanlal (45), along with eight accomplices and attacked him with a sharp weapon in the midst of a heated conversation, severing part of his nose.
Kumar was reportedly enraged over his former wife's remarriage, added police officers aware of the matter. Police added that the accused's father Jayaram Vishnoi was also involved in the attack.
ASI Rawatram of Dhorimanna police station while confirming the development said that Mohanlal gave a statement based on which a case has been registered. Police have formed teams to apprehend the accused, who are currently absconding, he added....
