Jaipur, Jan. 5 -- Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday criticised the BJP-led state government over the slow pace of work on the third phase of Rajiv Gandhi Lift Canal, calling it another example of what he termed the government's "politics of delay". In a post on X, Gehlot said the pace of work is extremely worrying. "It is unfortunate that since the change in power, the pace of work has come to a standstill. In the past one year, only about 15 to 20% of the work has been completed, which raises serious questions on the current government's commitment," he said. Gehlot urged the government to complete the project on a war footing. Commenting on the issue, BJP spokesperson Ram Lal Sharma said that the BJP does not follow a politics of animosity. Sharma said, "Had the Congress been in power, the project would have either been stalled or sidelined. The BJP government will complete the project soon."htc...
