Jodhpur, Nov. 9 -- The Rajasthan high court has issued directions to ensure the speedy delivery of judgments after the completion of hearings. Following the Supreme Court's directives, the high court administration has issued a standing order to ensure transparency and accountability in the judicial process. A judicial official familiar with the development said that the registrar general issued the standing order in this regard on November 3. According to the new provisions, it will now be mandatory to include four key details on the first page of every judgment: the date of conclusion of arguments, the date on which the judgment was reserved, whether the full judgment or only the operative part was pronounced, and the date of pronouncement. The administration has also established a mechanism to monitor reserved judgments. It further said: "The Registrar (Judicial) shall compile these lists and submit a consolidated report to the Registrar General by the 7th of each month. The Registrar General shall, by the 10th of each month, place before the Chief Justice a compiled report of cases where judgments have remained reserved for over one month, six weeks, or two months, for appropriate directions." According to standing order, "If a judgment is not pronounced within three months of being reserved, and the party or parties file an application for early pronouncement, the Registrar (Judicial) shall list the application before the concerned Bench within two working days..."
