KOTA, June 21 -- Rajasthan's Dungarpur and Nagaur districts have got second and third rank in the country in the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) this year and 22 districts of the state have secured a place in top 50 national ranks in the scheme, according to officials.
PMAY is a Centre's initiative to provide affordable housing to the poor by March 31, 2022. It has two components: PMAY-Urban and PMAY-Rural.
Dungarpur district, which got first rank in the state and second rank in the country, has ensured construction of houses under PMAY-R for 93,128 beneficiaries, district collector Suresh Kumar Ola said.
