Dotasra slams BJP-led govts in centre and raj
Jaipur, Oct. 2 -- Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra on Wednesday attacked the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in the state, accusing them of failing on foreign, economic and farm policies and alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi won elections through false promises and, in later contests, by "vote theft."
Dotasra made the comments during a public address marking his birthday, and urged Congress workers to mobilize.
Addressing reporters, Dotasra alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi won elections with "false promises" and by exploiting different narratives each time. "The Central government or the Rajasthan government, both have cheated public," he said. "Modi ji won the first election with lies and promises and the second by hiding behind Army's valour. He won the third on the basis of vote theft," Dotasra claimed. "Our foreign policy has faltered, economic policy has failed. They promised to double farmers' income but that has not happened," he said.
He also criticised the rollback in GST slabs, saying the government's tax move was a political ploy. "They used the GST cut as a trump card when anti-incumbency set in. But people understand this. No poor person is seeing relief in daily-use items".
BJP spokesperson Laxmikant Bharadwaj said, "They should prepare a slogan - they will be defeated again in 2029 because they are neck-deep in corruption. They have been exposed to the people and will not get public support. They are used to making baseless statements."htc...
