India, Sept. 22 -- When one talks about high fashion, labels such as Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Louboutin and other European labels come to mind. However, the cynosure of luxury fashion is now no longer restricted to the Europeans. Breaking geographical boundaries and preconceived norms, designers of Middle Eastern origin - Reem Acra, Georges Chakra, Goerges Hobeika and Zuhair Murad - are now stalwarts in the fashion universe in their own right. Bringing with them strong cultural influences and persona, their designs are full of life. Signature embroideries set against a backdrop of sumptuous tulle and fluid satins, the popularity and success of these designers have acted as a catalyst for a whole newer troupe of designers that have been favoured by not only Hollywood celebrities but also have garnered popularity in the east. With Bollywood style icons Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone leading the brigade, others such as Janhvi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Shilpa Shetty Kundra among others, too, have found designs by the likes of Atelier Zuhra, Arwa al Banawi, Jean-Louis Sabaji, Reem Acra, Madiyah Al Sharqi and Reemami quite flattering....
