cop arrested for taking Rs.5k bribe in bharatpur
Bharatpur, June 20 -- A police officer was arrested by the Anti-corruption Bureau for accepting a bribe of Rs.5000 to release a vehicle on Thursday in Bharatpur, officials aware of the matter said.
The accused, assistant sub inspector (ASI) Prathvi Raj Singh was posted at Gehndoli Mode police station.
Amit Singh, assistant additional superintendent of police posted at ACB Bharatpur, said a person filed a complaint against the ASI alleging that the cop was demanding a bribe to get the complainant's vehicle released from court. The ASI called him to Rupwas town to take bribe, but ACB team caught him red-handed, Singh said. htc...
