Barmer, June 9 -- A 22-year-old man was arrested in Jodhpur on Sunday for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in Pali district, police said on Sunday. "The victim's family filed a complaint on Saturday alleging that Rakesh Kumar (24), son of Kishan Chand, a resident of Jodhpur, had befriended their minor daughter via social media. The complaint alleged the girl recently informed her parents when they questioned her about suspicious phone calls," said Jaswant Singh Rajpurohit, SHO of the Industrial police station. "Approximately six months ago, when the girl's family was away for some work, the accused, upon learning this, came to Pali to meet the girl and raped her," he said, adding that a case was registered under the Pocso Act.htc...
